This building serves as a clubhouse for the men’s and women’s rugby clubs at Dartmouth College. The two rugby fields that bound the building are separated vertically by twenty feet of elevation. Taking advantage of the sloping site between the fields, we located the primary entry, clubroom, coach’s office, trophy room, kitchen and deck on the parking or upper level. The locker rooms, team rooms, trainer and shower rooms are located on the lower level which opens to the primary rugby field. The clubroom and deck face south which gives spectators a warm spot to watch games in the fall and spring seasons of rugby.
